Wine Spectator Awards Beau Rivage's BR Prime

Signature Steak and Seafood Restaurant Honored for Outstanding Wine List

BILOXI, Miss. (August 6, 2007) – Beau Rivage’s recently opened BR Prime Restaurant has been recognized as a Best of Award of Excellence winner in Wine Spectator magazine's 2007 Dining Guide, on newsstands August 31.

Every year since 1981, Wine Spectator has honored restaurants around the world for excellence in their wine programs, dinner menus and wine lists. An internationally distributed magazine with over 1.1 million readers, the three-tier Wine Spectator awards are considered the most prestigious and respected in the world.

To win a Wine Spectator Award, a restaurant must offer a wine list that includes wines appropriate to its cuisine while appealing to a wide range of wine lovers. To qualify, the list must present complete and accurate wine information including vintages and appellations for all selections, including wines by the glass. After meeting these basic requirements, lists are judged for one of Wine Spectator’s three awards: the basic Award of Excellence, Best of Award of Excellence, and highest Grand Award.

The Best of Award of Excellence was created to give special recognition to those restaurant wine lists that display either vintage depth, with vertical offerings of several top producers from major regions or excellent breadth spread over several winegrowing regions and typically 500 or more selections, with superior presentation.
